The training course focused on the use of humor as a vital tool in intercultural dialogue and communication. Over the span of ten days, participants from various countries, including Portugal, Armenia, Georgia, Greece, Italy, and Croatia, came together to explore the nuances of humor in bridging cultural gaps and fostering mutual understanding.
Through a series of engaging workshops, discussions, and activities, delegates delved into the intricacies of how humor can break down barriers and create a more inclusive environment for dialogue. The program emphasized the significance of recognizing and respecting diverse cultural backgrounds while finding common ground through shared laughter.
Tazrouti and Imane actively participated in the sessions, sharing insights from Moroccan culture and learning from the experiences of their international peers. They highlighted the importance of humor in Moroccan traditions and how it plays a crucial role in everyday communication. Their contributions were well-received, adding valuable depth to the intercultural discussions.
The training course not only provided theoretical knowledge but also practical skills in utilizing humor effectively in various intercultural contexts. Participants engaged in role-playing exercises, creative projects, and collaborative presentations, all aimed at enhancing their ability to communicate across cultures with sensitivity and humor.
By the end of the course, Tazrouti and Imane returned to Morocco with a wealth of new ideas and strategies to implement within our organization. They are eager to share their experiences and the knowledge gained with the wider community, promoting the use of humor as a bridge to connect different cultures and foster a sense of unity.
